Chelsea transfer rumours.

The 25 year old left-back moved to Upton Park from Ipswich Town last summer and has been a huge success, more than proving himself capable of making an impact at the highest level, and now Jose Mourinho wants to bring in the Hammers star to boost his homegrown contingent.

Despite only moving to Stamford Bridge a matter of months ago the Sunday Mirror believes Mourinho may look to offload Felipe Luis, leaving him with space to fill, hence his interest in Cresswell.

West Ham will look to ward off advances for Cresswell and are ready to hand the Liverpool born wide-man a new improved contract.

Mourinho currently sees Cesar Azpilicueta as his first choice left-back so should Cresswell consider a move to Chelsea be tempting he would perhaps do well to consider his long term prospects at the Premier League table-toppers if he were indeed make the move from east to west London.
