The French international was barely used in his first spell with United, struggling to break into the first-team under Sir Alex Ferguson and being allowed to move to Italy on a free transfer.

Since then, Pogba has become regarded as perhaps the best young player in the world and is already looking a potentially world class addition for the Red Devils in the middle of the park.

Louis van Gaal’s side seem short of options in that position as they look to improve on their current stars such as Michael Carrick and Daley Blind, who have been in and out of the starting lineup for most of this season.

According to the Daily Express, it may be that bringing Pogba back to the club this summer may be a priority as they look to rebuild.
