The Bundesliga side have been finding it tough this season, and look likely to miss out on playing in the Champions League next season. They have lost several high profile players in recent seasons, with notable examples being Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze. Hummels could be the next to go according to the Star.

He said: “He told me that he thinks about his future. That’s why I needn’t think about it. We are always on the lookout. That we want to keep Mats is beyond question. How that works out I don’t know. There’s always a list of players who would be interesting in the event that you need them.”

Apparently BVB want at least £36 million for their star player, which shouldn’t be too much of a stumbling block for the Red Devils. Manager Louis van Gaal is supposed to be getting a £150 million war chest for the summer, with the team looking in need of some serious reinforcements if they are going to challenge for the Premier League title.
