Emirates Stadium side look to pull off Stamford Bridge raid.
Arsenal have set their sights on Chelsea keeper Petr Cech according to the Metro.
The 32 year old Czech Republic star is having to warm the Blues bench this term with Thibaut Courtois now Jose Mourinho’s undisputed first choice custodian and it’s likely Cech will look to move on in the summer.
The Metro claims that Mourinho is willing to allow Cech to leave and that the Gunners have already held talks to bring in the experienced keeper.
Wojciech Szcz?sny stated the season as Arsenal’s number one starter but a horror show at Southampton on New Year’s Day has led to Colombian David Ospina to taking his spot and Wenger may seek to complicate things further by signing Cech.
The Chelsea fan favourite is arguably a far better, more reliable, option between the sticks and could well be the ideal man to help solidify the Arsenal defence this summer.
Cech has made 484 appearances for Chelsea since moving to the club in 2004.
