The Gunners midfielder has lined up alongside Xavi on international duty with Spain, and considers himself “lucky” to have been able to learn from and play alongside one of the geniuses of the game.

The Barcelona midfielder, who is one of the best passers of the ball the sport has ever seen, is rumoured to be leaving the Camp Nou after an incredible 24 years at the club, with Qatar side Al Saad, according to Sky Sports, reportedly close on agreeing a deal for the playmaker in the summer.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, Cazorla said that it is almost impossible to envision a player of the same world-class ability as Xavi.

“Players like Xavi are difficult to see in the future.

“Luckily I could play with him, learn and enjoy my time on the pitch alongside him.”

Nonetheless, despite speculation pointing towards Xavi’s exit, Barca boss Luis Enrique would “love” for the midfield maestro to carry on playing for the club, but the Spaniard’s future is certainly in his own hands (via Goal.com).
