Jurgen Klopp’s greatest ever quotes as Borussia Dortmund boss

Posted by

Jurgen Klopp made the shocking announcement on Wednesday afternoon, that after seven years in charge, he would be leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

The charismatic German claims his decision to quit the Westfalenstadion has nothing to do with exhaustion (via the BBC), despite a debilitating season which saw the Bundesliga side face the shocking threat of relegation.

The pressure has seemingly got the better of Klopp, who felt it was best to reveal his intentions now rather than leaving it late and putting Dortmund in a precarious position. The 47-year-old will no doubt be seeking a new challenge once he feels prepared to do so, with the Premier League a potential destination.

“I’m a bit proud of my first red card as a coach. I approached the fourth official and said ‘How many mistakes are allowed here? If it’s 15, you have one more.'”
