According to The Express, Spanish giants Real Madrid are considering a £50m bid for the Red Devil’s first choice goalkeeper after an impressive season in the Premier League for the Old Trafford side.

Los Blancos’ current goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, has claimed he wants to remain at the club after this summer and does not want to give up his place. Quoted in the newspaper , after the 0-0 Champions League quarter final draw with Atletico Madrid, Casillas said, “I want to stay at Real Madrid until 2017, which is when my contract expires.

“I want to end my career with Real Madrid.”

The Spanish international had previously been expected to step aside this summer following a campaign which has seen him make a collection of high profile mistakes, contributing to a disappointing spell of form for the 10 time conquerors of Europe.

The 33-year-old has been with the Bernabeu club for his entire career and has made 505 La Liga appearances to cement his place as a legend at Los Blancos.

David de Gea, meanwhile, was subject of intense speculation over his future after interest from the Spanish club in January. Manchester United though, seem to have shrugged off the interest with good form of their own and now look set to secure a Champions League spot against after a year’s absence.
