Manchester United are apparently interested in PSG’s Gregory van der Wiel, as the French club are drawing up a list of candidates to replace the Dutchman, reports the Metro.
However, in the same Le10sport article which the Metro source, it also claims that PSG do not see the right-back position as an urgent one to fill. This could mean that the Red Devils will find it difficult to sign their man, despite the English paper claiming that they are ready to pay his £9 million asking price.
The 29-year-old has made 32 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season, becoming a regular at full-back despite not being of the same quality as some of his teammates. The Dutchman has also got 41 caps for his country. Louis van Gaal could be looking at the defender to replace the out of favour Rafael, who has only played 11 times under the 63-year-old.
