According to Le Foot Gazette des Transferts, the former Chelsea man remains a priority for PSG and the reigning French champions are set to attempt to revive the move during the coming transfer window.

Currently, Laurent Blanc’s side are enjoying a fine campaign; they sit at the head of the Ligue 1 table, are set to face Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and recently won the Coupe de la Ligue, thrashing SC Bastia in the final.

They are also through to the Coupe de France final where they will be heavy favourites to overcome Ligue 2 Auxerre.

However, the club are set for an upheaval this summer, with numerous players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Yohan Cabaye and Ezequiel Lavezzi linked with a departure.

PSG may well face competition from English giants Manchester City and Manchester United as well as La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona for the Belgian.
