The 36-year-old continues to fire the goals in at the top level, scoring 13 times for his club this season after becoming the all-time leading scorer in World Cup history with his heroics for Germany last summer.

Still, despite interest from Premier League clubs such as Spurs and Aston Villa, the veteran goal-poacher looks set to make a surprise move to Brazilian club Sao Paulo, who have offered him a contract, according to talkSPORT.

MLS clubs are also chasing Klose as the transfer window approaches, and it looks clear that he still has a few years remaining at the top level after some impressive form in the Italian top flight this term.

Tottenham are in need of new strikers after some poor form from the likes of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor this season.
