The North London outfit have failed to find the back of the net in their last two games, which has yielded just one point from six against Burnley and Aston Villa. However, they are still in with a chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Given their problems in front of goal as of late, we expect manager Mauricio Pochettino to make changes to his starting line-up:

GK) Hugo Lloris

The French keeper has missed the last two league games because of an injury picked up against Leicester City before the international break.

As Lloris is Spurs’ most consistent performer he is likely to get the nod over Michel Vorm if he can prove his fitness ahead of the trip to Newcastle.

RB) DeAndre Yedlin

Should first-choice right-back Kyle Walker remain unavailable, the American international could be handed a full debut after coming on as a substitute last weekend.

The defender has been eased into life in the Barclays Premier League since arriving in January, and going by his performances at the World Cup last summer he has loads of potential.

CB) Eric Dier

Dier has been enjoying a nice run in the side at centre-back after a stint as a full-back earlier in the campaign. He has made mistakes throughout the course of the season, but should learn from those and develop into a very good defender.

CB) Jan Vertonghen

Another that has been absent for the last two games through injury and has been sorely missed.

A much better defender than Vlad Chriches and Federico Fazio, meaning Spurs fans will be relieved to see the sight of the Belgian international again.

LB) Ben Davies

Battling it out with Danny Rose for the left-back slot. He will feel slightly aggrieved not to have started more games in the league this season, and this could be his chance to stake his claim to Pochettino.
