Manchester United have been told it will cost them around £21m to sign former Chelsea forward Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg this summer, according to the player’s agent.
The Belgian international has been in superb form in the Bundesliga this term, establishing himself as possibly one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe since being sold by Chelsea last January.
Never given a chance in his first spell in the Premier League, De Bruyne may now be handed another opportunity to prove himself in English football with a move to United as they continue to show a strong interest.
According to the Daily Express, the 23-year-old has become one of the Red Devils’ main transfer targets as they seek a creative player in an advanced midfield role.
£21m certainly looks a bargain for a player of his quality, with the ex-Blues ace contributing 14 goals and 22 assists in all competitions this season.
