Real Madrid continue to keep the pressure on La Liga leaders Barcelona, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men have gone unbeaten since the defeat to their rivals at the Camp Nou on March 22 – beating Granada, Rayo Vallecano and Eibar – and closing the gap between themselves and Barca to just two points.
Real have been in outstanding goalscoring form in their last three domestic fixtures – in which they have netted a stunning 14 goals – and as such Malaga will have their work cut out to keep the Spanish giants’ attack quiet.
Malaga haven’t won since March 15 when they beat Cordoba 2-0 – with their poor run of form having ended any slight chances they may have had of a Champions League spot.
Los Boquerones, however, will be keen to take advantage of any possible fatigue from Real following their gruelling mid-week Champions League clash with rivals Atleitco Madrid, which ended goalless at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
