White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino is preparing moves to improve his squad and has identified the 22 year old French international as a potential summer target.
The former Bastia man is a regular in Marcelo Bielsa’s first team set-up but the Metro claims that financial concerns may lead the Ligue 1 side to accept offers for Thauvin.
Marseille have gone off the boil of late, the Stade Velodrome side sitting in fourth having previously led the table, and Thauvin has started 30 of the club’s 33 Ligue 1 fixtures this term.
Pochettino will hope to secure Europa League action for next term, with a Champions League berth looking out of reach, and will hope the allure of a move to the Premier League aids their push to capture the Marseille winger.
