The Stamford Bridge forward has been out on loan at the lower league side for the whole of the current campaign. He has managed to score 19 goals for the Aitor Karanka’s side this season, helping the team to challenge for the Championship title.

Meanwhile Alli was only signed by Spurs in January, and was immediately loaned back to where they bought him from. The 19-year-old midfielder has managed an impressive 16 goals and eight assists for the League One side so far.

Could both of these players be playing in the Premier League next season? Or is this lower division success not enough to force their way in to their parent clubs’ first team squads?
