Arsenal and Manchester City are both on red alert following the news that Spain international and Real Madrid sensation Isco will be available for around £35m this summer, according to The Mirror.
Competition for places at the Bernabeu is fierce, with Colombian international James Rodriguez having recovered from a broken foot and Los Blancos wanting to bring in Paul Pogba from Juventus or Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Veratti could force Isco out.
It is thought that, should either of those transfers go through, the 22-year-old will be available for around £35m, in a deal which could be motivated by financial fair play regulations as well.
The former Malaga man played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against his old side, but failed to grab the bull by the horns and impress.
Isco’s hopes though, will be improved after news that Croatian Luka Modric will be out for up to six weeks after he limped out of the victory. The match took the side to within two points of La Liga leaders Barceona, with both sides having four games remaining.
