Serie A giants to frustrate Manchester United & Chelsea with £18m Miranda bid

Juventus are preparing a bid for Atletico Madrid defender Miranda, who has also been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season, which has put his future at the Estadio Vicente Calderon under intense speculation, as the La Liga outfit would apparently rather cash in than allow the centre-back to leave on a free.

The Daily Star report that Juventus will test the resolve of Atletico with an £18m offer for Miranda that could spark a bidding war with Chelsea and Manchester United remaining interested.

The 30-year-old has been a key player in helping Rojiblancos to challenge Barcelona and Real Madrid’s supremacy in Spain’s top flight, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed in Europe.

With youngster Jose Gimenez showing promising signs in central defence for Diego Simeone’s side, the club, according to the reports, believe that they have the resources to allow Miranda to leave at the end of the season.
