West Ham have reportedly failed in their pursuit of Jurgen Klopp according to the Daily Mirror.

The Upton Park side are looking to find a replacement for manager Sam Allardyce, who’s contract expires in the summer, but unsurprisingly their attempts to land Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp have proven unsuccessful.

Whilst a move for 47 year old shows great ambition it also perhaps shows the East London side are perhaps deluded in terms of their pulling power.

Yes the Hammers are set to move into the Olympic Stadium but that alone isn’t going to be enough to persuade one of Europe’s best managers to take over at the mid-table outfit.

Klopp won back to back Bundesliga titles and helped Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final prior to a couple of lean seasons and is a manager who is sure to have his pick of high-profile jobs and one imagines he has his sights set higher than West Ham.
