The French international goalkeeper is understood to be considering his future with the North London club as it appears they will have to settle for a place in the Europa League next season.

Spurs trail fourth-placed Manchester City by seven points going into the final weeks of the Premier League season and it would take a mini miracle for them to finish above the defending champions.

Should the White Hart Lane outfit fail to secure a top-four finish it would leave Lloris facing up to a fourth successive season without playing in Europe’s elite club competition.

A player of his quality would have his fair share of suitors if he was to become available, with the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain both linked with his signature in recent weeks.
