Zamparini also described the 21-year-old as the new Lionel Messi after a season in which he has scored 13 goals and managed 10 assists in Serie A for the Rosanero. The forward also has a similar playing style to the Barcelona ace, being a great dribbler and passer of the ball.

The Italian said: “Dybala is not Sergio Aguero but the new (Lionel) Messi. He’s not an out-and-out striker, but operates in every area of the field, like Messi. Will he stay? No, because the player and his agent aspire to a big club, and they’re right to do so. I’ve already received at least four offers.

“Two were from Italian clubs, and two were from abroad, and they include Arsenal and Juventus.”

The Gunners could face a lot of competitions for his services though. The club president has already mentioned that Chelsea, Juventus, and Roma are interested in the youngster, and the Express believes PSG and Manchester United are also in the race for the Argentine.

It looks likely then that this transfer will run on through the summer, as the teams all attempt to get their man ahead of each other. The North London club will have to do a lot to persuade Dybala to go to them ahead of their rivals.
