FCInterNews claims that the Serie A outfit have been left bitterly disappointed by the Germany international’s from since his arrival from north London in January, and feel he has done nowhere near enough to earn a permanent switch.

Inter are said to have no intention of entering into negotiations with the Gunners over a transfer fee for Podolski, and will happily allow him to return to his parent club next month.

The 29-year-old is yet to find the back of the net for Roberto Mancini’s team in 12 appearances. He has little more than 12 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, meaning he would be available for a relatively modest fee.

However, with Inter opting against the acquisition of Podolski, it remains to be seen how many suitors he will have when the summer transfer window opens.
