The Spaniard is set to return to the stadium for the first time since he left in 2011 with their local rivals, having joined the Blues in the summer for £30 million after the Gunners turned down their buy-back option on the 27-year-old from Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.

Fabregas has since gone on to help the Stamford Bridge outfit to run away with the Premier League title. He has created 19 goals and scored another five himself during the stellar season, showing Arsene Wenger what he has missed out on.

Even though the midfielder now plays for their rivals, there is still a banner of the Spain international alongside other club heroes such as Dennis Bergkamp and Tony Adams. This has angered well known supporter Claude, who has become famous for his outspoken views on the side.

He said: “I want to know why that (the poster) is still on the bridge. He kissed the Chelsea badge when they lifted the cup last month. Why is that still on our bridge, it’s a disgrace. Take that [the banner] down.”
