The Belgian has arguably been the outstanding player in the Premier League this season, and looks set to add the domestic title to the Europa League and League Cup he has already won at Stamford Bridge.

However, Hazard’s form has alerted major suitors across Europe, including Real Madrid, the biggest of them all.

Earlier this week, Real assistant manager Zinedine Zidane openly confirmed his admiration for the Belgium international, fuelling the increasing transfer talk linking the Pensioner with a move to the Bernabeu.

In light of this speculation, Liverpool great Jamie Carragher has expressed his desire for the former LOSC Lille man to stay in the Premier League.

“We’ve lost too many players when you think of the likes of [Gareth] Bale, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso,” pundit Carragher began, speaking to Sky Sports [via the Daily Star].

“When Real Madrid and Barcelona come in for one of your players it’s difficult to keep them because they are big clubs in a country with a lifestyle where players, particularly attacking players and foreign players, dream of playing one day.

“I certainly think Hazard is among the top six or seven in world football and there’s no doubt he’s a brilliant footballer.

“He’s a player you’d only expect to get better the more he works under Mourinho because he keeps on improving.”

Real learned on Friday afternoon that they will be facing Italian champions Juventus in the semi-final of the Champions League, having bested rivals Atletico Madrid to advance to the final four.
