Earlier in the week, Real assistant coach and club legend Zinedine Zidane revealed his admiration for the Belgium international, naming him as one of the world’s top three players and fuelling rumours that Los Merengues want the playmaker at the Bernabeu.

Hazard has been one of—if not the—outstanding player in the Premier League this season and will surely lift the league title at the end of the campaign. The EPL crown would be his third honour in the English game, going alongside the Europa League, and the league cup which Chelsea won earlier this year.

Mourinho appears confident that Hazard will remain in West London to pick up more silverware with the Pensioners, rather than seeking pastures new this summer.

“We just signed a new contract with him (until 2021). We didn’t put a gun to his head. I don’t think he’s interested in going,” Mourinho said, as reported by Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old forward previously featured for LOSC Lille in Ligue 1 before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2012.
