The Hammers have been in poor form of late despite a strong start to the season in the Premier League, winning just one of their last ten games to drop to 10th in the table.

Moyes is currently managing in La Liga with Real Sociedad, with the Basque outfit in 12th place in Spain’s top flight and still not entirely safe from the threat of relegation.

Still, according to the Daily Mirror, the Scot looks to be one of West Ham’s main targets to come in and take charge of the club, with Allardyce an unpopular figure who looks ever more likely to be heading for the exit at the end of this season.

Although Moyes notably flopped in his short spell as manager of Manchester United, he is still highly regarded for the job he did at previous club Everton.
