The 20-year-old has come under increased scrutiny this season over an ongoing contract dispute, with the Reds attacker still to commit his future to the Merseyside giants despite there having been several big-money offers on the table for him.

Sterling may even end up being on the move this summer if he does not see a future for himself with Liverpool, though he insists he is focused on doing well for the club despite allegations that he is a money-grabber or disloyal.

Some fans have turned on the England international in recent games, though he insists he has turned a deaf ear to it all and is just staying focused on doing his best when he gets on the pitch, the Daily Mirror reports.

Speaking about his situation, he said: “Everyone has their opinion on me at this moment in time but I’m just a kid who loves to play football and to try and improve every day and be the best I can be.

“It just goes in one ear and goes out the other. I don’t read anything, don’t look at anything and, for me, it’s all football. I’m genuinely focused on doing my best for this football club.”
