Marseille may be looking to cash in on Thauvin, to make the most of the interest in the player’s services. He arrived at the club in 2013, having formerly featured for SC Bastia, but hasn’t improved at many of the club had hoped he would.

The right-sider continues to make poor decisions in wide areas, while his consistency and presence are also sub-par.

Spurs widemen Andros Townsend, Erik Lamela, Nacer Chadli and, previously, Aaron Lennon, have not been wholly convincing this term, and Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add to his options, considering Thauvin as one option.

However, the Lilywhites face competition from Valencia, according to RMC.

Coach Espirito Santo is keen to take Thauvin to the Mestalla Stadium to see him work in tandem with Algeria midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.

L’Equipe [via Le 10 Sport] believe that a fee of between €15 and 20 million would be enough for either Spurs or Valencia to secure their man.
