Liverpool are set to re-ignite their interest in Schalke star Kyriakos Papadopoulos according to the Daily Mirror.

The 23 year old Greek international has long been linked with a move to Anfield and Brendan Rodgers is keen to land the centre-back this summer, when Papadopoulos will be available on a free transfer.
The Bundesliga defender is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and could be an ideal cost effective addition to Liverpool’s defensive set-up.
Kyriakos Papadopoulos has struggled with injuries in recent seasons but when fully fit the Schalke man is still capable of making an impact in the Premier League.
With Kolo Toure set to be out of contract in the summer and Martin Skrtel’s Liverpool future in doubt there is a real need to bring in reinforcements, not least as £20m signing Dejan Lovren hasn’t impressed since his move to Merseyside last summer.
