Here is how the team should line up:

David de Gea

The Spanish goalkeeper is attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid thanks to his remarkable showing between the posts this season. It remains to be seen whether he will accept the huge contract offer at Old Trafford, but nothing will stop him starting the game.

Antonio Valencia

Slowly but surely, Antonio Valencia is growing into his role as a right back. He still struggles with some defensive parts of the game, but game by game is developing his reading of the game and intelligence.

Chris Smalling

Recently signed a new four year contract at at club and has celebrated with some impressive performances. He should have enough to help his inexperienced defensive partner through the game.

Paddy McNair

The young Northern Irishman has been given somewhat of a baptism of fire this season thanks to Manchester United’s many defensive crises. Despite being on the losing side against Chelsewa last week, he showed a performance which belied his young age.

Luke Shaw

Ex-Southampton full back hasn’t done as well as he’d hoped or progressed as much as he would have liked thanks to a disappointing start to the season with his club and a run of niggling injuries.
