This source claims that Gareth Bale’s possible departure could leave Chicharito on course to remain at the Spanish giants in the long term.

West Ham, Tottenham and Southampton are all apparently keen on the 26 year old Mexican but one imagines that any chance to remain at the Bernabeu may tempt Hernandez, despite the fact he has been something of a bit-part player at the La Liga side this term.

Hernandez hit the vital winner for Real against local rivals Atletico in their Champions League quarter-final clash and despite starting just two La Liga fixtures the Man United man has managed to net four times in domestic league action.

One assumes however that Hernandez would still be behind Karim Benzema in Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order, with the Frenchman being one of the first names on his Real Madrid team-sheet.
