The international has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with both Arsenal and Chelsea believed to be interested in the attacker.

However, rather than opening the door to a switch to England, Douglas has acknowledged his affection for PSG—a club with a fine tradition of signing Brazilian players.

So could the former Gremio man be set to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldinho, Rai, Nene and Thiago Silva?

Despite being under contract with Shakhtar until 2018, a move to the Parc des Princes may be in the offing this summer.

“It’s true that I like PSG a lot,” the 24-year-old began, speaking to Telefoot, via Mercato365, “over the last few years, they have become an enormous club.

“It would be a pleasure to wear the shirt.”

The right-sider demonstrated his class in the Champions League this season—scoring once and contributing one assist in eight matches in the competition.

He has also featured 15 times in the Ukrainian league this term, having joined the club in 2010.
