The Premier League big-spenders will look to bring in homegrown talent in order to help adhere to Champions League regulations and Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley and Burnley forward are all on the Man City radar.

The Metro claim it will take bids of £50m to secure deals for Sterling and Barkley whilst Clarets ace Ings is out of contract and will be available for a relatively small compensatory fee.

Man City have meekly surrendered their Premier League title and Manuel Pellegrini’s tenure in charge is by no means certain and the club may be set for a summer of big changes.

Liverpool would be loathed to lose Sterling but the England winger has steadfastly refused to pen a new deal and Everton’s average campaign could well lead Barkley to consider his options.
