PFA Team of the Year announced: Arsenal and Liverpool stars join six Chelsea players

LB- Ryan Bertrand (Southampton)

Along with Nat Clyne, Ryan Bertrand has been a key part of the way Southampton have played under Ronald Koeman. He has looked assured defensively, and has not been afraid to offer support in attack.

RM- Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The Chilean has taken no time whatsoever to adapt to English football. The 26-year-old has a remarkable return of 14 goals in his debut season, and an inspired 120 minute performance against Reading guided Arsenal to their second consecutive FA Cup final.

CM- Nemanja Matic (Chelsea)

Matic has been such an integral part of Chelsea’s ruthless defence. The protection he has given the back four has allowed the Blues’ creative players the freedom to stamp their authority on the game.

CM- Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

The Brazilian has arguably been the best player during a difficult season at Anfield. His trickery has transformed him into the talisman of the side.
