The 26 year old England man’s career at the Emirates Stadium has stalled of late, albeit chiefly due to injury concerns and not poor form, and Arsene Wenger is now eyeing up Barcelona star Pedro and this will apparently hasten a possible summer exit for the former Southampton man.

Brendan Rodgers wants Walcott and should the Gunners man be set to leave the north London club then a move to Anfield may prove tempting.

With the Guardian, among others, claiming that Raheem Sterling could leave the Merseyside outfit a move for Walcott seems entirely plausible.

Walcott is now into his tenth season at Arsenal and is arguably still to deliver on his obvious potential and the summer captures of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck have already hamstrung his chances of a regular spot in Wenger’s starting eleven, a successful move for Pedro would surely prove the death knell for any hope of forging a meaningful Arsenal career.
