Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly been keen on making a summer move for the France international, but PSG have gone one step ahead by holding talks with Pogba, the Ligue 1 outfit’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi claimed.

In an interview with Le Parisien, Al-Khelaifi divulged on the latest in the club’s pursuit of the 22-year-old – revealing that a meeting has taken place with the player.

“Why did I meet with Pogba? Because he’s a great talent, he’s French and he’s from Paris,” he was quoted by the Daily Star as saying.

“That said, all the big clubs want him.”

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has said that he has received over 2000 phone calls regarding the availability of the in-demand midfielder in 2015 alone, and admitted that “if the right offer comes along for Pogba and for Juve, then the transfer will take place”, as quoted by ESPN.

This is no doubt a clear ploy from Raiola to attract as much money for his client as possible, however such comments have put a host of top European clubs on high alert.
