The 30 year old hasn’t impressed when called upon this term and the England man appears to suggest he won’t be offered a new contract when his current one expires at the end of the current campaign.

‘Am I leaving Liverpool? I would have thought so – I haven’t got a contract.

‘We’ll have to wait and see.’ Johnson stated.

Johnson has started just 13 of Liverpool’s 34 Premier League fixtures and is apparently being tracked by the Hammers and a move back to Upton Park may well interest the experienced defender.

West Ham sold Johnson to Chelsea back in July 2013 and after four years at Stamford Bridge he moved to Portsmouth before making a £17m move to Liverpool back in June 2009.

Johnson has made a total of 198 appearances for Liverpool but is certainly been far from his best over the past 18 months or so.
