The former Ivory Coast international made a sensational return to Stamford Bridge last summer as he joined on a free transfer from Galatasaray on a one year deal, but talks over a new deal are yet to take place and he could make a the switch to the United States in order to prolong his playing career.

With Diego Costa and Loic Remy currently unavailable due to injury, Drogba has become the first choice striker for Jose Mourinho and proved he still has the knack for scoring in the big games by grabbing the all-important equaliser on Wednesday night in the 3-1 win against Leicester City as the Blues took a giant step towards lifting the Premier League title for the first time since 2010.

The West London outfit are now 13 points clear at the top of the table and welcome Crystal Palace to the Bridge on Sunday and will be crowned champions with a victory against the Eagles.
