The Red Devils could be handed a whopping £100m to bring the Welshman to the Bernabeu for next season, with the former Tottenham Hotspur man already the most expensive player of all time after his move to the Spanish capital from White Hart Lane back in 2013.
Bale shone in his first spell in the Premier League, and is now being targeted by United manager Louis van Gaal as he looks set to continue his big spending habits since he took over at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Telegraph, United are feeling the benefits of their lucrative new kit deal with Adidas and are prepared to go all out to bring Bale to the club.
Bale is one of many big-name targets for van Gaal, also including Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels and PSV winger Memphis Depay.
