Chelsea boss tops the list of managers with the most major trophies in their first five seasons in charge of English clubs

The Portuguese has guided his side to within one win of becoming champions, and could get the necessary three points against Crystal Palace on Sunday. This will be especially impressive considering that there are three games still to go in the campaign after the encounter with the Eagles.

The Blues have been unbeaten since their defeat to Tottenham on New Year’s Day, and are a massive 13 points clear in first place. Despite this emphatic victory over their rivals the 53-year-old isn’t getting carried away. In fact, he seems positively underwhelmed by the whole situation, and will only celebrate for five minutes!

The former Real Madrid boss said: “The moment a final or the game that gives you the league finishes, you get a flash of the people you love most, the people who are with you, the most important moments that lead to that trophy.

“With me, five minutes later, it’s move on. I have to think about next season. What motivates me still are the basics of football, like when you are a kid playing in the street. You want to win. The basic thing, the most pure feeling.”

One disappointment for the Stamford Bridge outfit will be when they were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG. Mourinho will surely want to better this next time, having already won the competition with Inter Milan and Porto. No manager has ever won what used to be known as the European Cup with three separate sides.
