Chelsea 1-0 Crystal Palace: Player ratings with Eden Hazard the stand-out performer as Blues are crowned Premier League champions

The trio must have been doing their job well this season, with the Blues running away with the Premier League title. They were confirmed as champions when they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 on Sunday, winning the division with three games to spare. The London side has even been top of the league since the first day of the season, making it more impressive.

The trio that the former Arsenal man names isn’t too surprising. Terry is captain and a legend with supporters, while the other two have been at Stamford Bridge for long periods of time. However, the Spaniard is still keen to thank them for helping the side to a league title in his debut season with the team.

He said: “This is as good a team as I have played in, definitely. We have a strong mentality and character and they are all winners and competitors. The dressing room spirit is fantastic. John Terry is a great leader but everyone like Ivanovic and Petr Cech, all the players who have been there a long time, they help a lot.”

This does mean that Jose Mourinho could have a problem after this summer though. With the Daily Mail expecting Petr Cech to leave the club, who will take his leadership role?
