The Reds are keen to bring in new attacking players for next season, with some doubt over the future of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling.

Liverpool have not adequately replaced Luis Suarez since his move to Barcelona last summer, and the addition of a player like Son would no doubt be a good move given the South Korean international’s exceptional form in the Bundesliga this season.

The 22-year-old has scored 16 goals in all competitions, playing mainly on the left-hand side, though looking equally capable as a forward or on either flank.

According to The Sun, Liverpool have monitored Son before his move to Leverkusen, and his fine form in Germany this season has put him on Brendan Rodgers’ radar once again ahead of this year’s transfer market.
