The Blues have been top of the table since the first day of the season, and have become champions with three games to spare. It is the first title to have gone to Stamford Bridge since 2010, when they won it under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti. As a result it is the first time many of their players have won the division.
However, it isn’t the first time that current manager Jose Mourinho has lifted the trophy. In his first spell with the London side they won the league twice. Surely the next aim for the Portuguese will be the Champions League, which he has won with Porto and Inter Milan but never with Chelsea.
The players certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves in the changing room afterwards, with the celebrations obviously starting early! There could well be a party atmosphere at their next three games as well…
