The Uruguayan hitman has been linked to major clubs across Europe ahead of the summer transfer window, with the likes of Liverpool and Juventus said to be rivalling the two Premier League giants for his signature.

However, any suitors may have to turn their attentions elsewhere as a source close to the player has indicated that Cavani is not looking to switch clubs this summer.

“No, Edinson Cavani is not looking for another club,” began Uruguayan journalist Valentin Fletcher, in an interview with Foot sur 7.

“He is focused on his objective,” he continued, “which is to succeed in the colours of PSG.”

The striker cost approximately €64.5 million when he swapped Napoli for Paris in the summer of 2013.

He hasn’t always shone at the Parc des Princes, mainly due to being played out of position on the right side.

The former Palermo man found the net on Sunday when he opened the scoring in PSG’s comfortable Ligue 1 victory over FC Nantes—a triumph that returns Laurent Blanc’s side to the top of the Ligue 1 table.

With only three matches to play this term, PSG are nailed-on favourites to retain their French championship.
