The Belgium international, who is a summer transfer target for Manchester City, becomes the first Bundesliga player to sign an agreement of this kind for such a length of time, reports Kicker.

Former Chelsea star De Bruyne has been in excellent form for Wolfsburg this term, with 20 assists to his name in Germany.

His performances for club and country have caught the attention of City, according to The Guardian, and with the Blues likely to embark on an overhaul of their under-performing squad this summer, he could be one of the big-name arrivals at the Etihad Stadium.

However, there will be no shortage of offers for the 23-year-old. Serie A champions Juventus see him as a possible replacement for in-demand Frenchman Paul Pogba, who could depart Turin in a big-money move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
