Manchester United could make the surprise move to offer backup goalkeeper Victor Valdes to Tottenham Hotspur in an attempt to sign Hugo Lloris this summer.

The Red Devils are known admirers of the £25m French international, who has continued to establish himself as one of the best shot-stoppers in Europe this season with more commanding displays at White Hart Lane.
This has put United on alert this summer as the 28-year-old may want to move to a club playing in the Champions League, with Louis van Gaal ready to offload one of his recently signed players to lure Lloris to Old Trafford, according to the Metro.
Although David de Gea’s future at United is already in doubt, it is claimed that the club could be willing to part ways with another goalkeeper in order to bring in the number one they want.
Valdes only joined the club this season but could now be on his way to Spurs as part of this deal.
