Team news: Real Madrid depleted ahead of Juventus Champions League clash

Real Madrid will be without three of their key players when they face Juventus in their Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday.

Real overcame Schalke and local rivals Atletico Madrid to advance to the final four, while Juve beat Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 before ousting AS Monaco in the quarter-finals.

The two sides meet in Turin on Tuesday evening, before settling the tie at the Bernabeu on May 13.

However, after overcoming Sevilla 3-2 on Saturday in Liga BBVA action, Real are set to be without several key stars for their first-leg against the Italians.

Karim Benzema may have returned to training on Sunday, but the France international will not travel with the team as he continues his convalescence.

Similarly, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema remain absent according to Marca, via Foot Mercato.

Having won the Champions League last season, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are looking to win their record eleventh continental championship.
