Newcastle United & Tottenham are set to go head to head in their pursuit of Marseille’s creative attacker Florian Thauvin according to the Daily Mail.

The 22 year old has previously, seemingly inaccurately, dubbed the ‘Next Zinedine Zidane’ and is set to leave Marseille and hopes to move to White Hart Lane.
Marseille will demand £15m for the former French Under 21 international whilst Newcastle United also retain an interest and also have ‘form’ when it comes to bringing in Ligue 1 talent.
Thauvin moved to the Stade Velodrome in 2013 and has proven a moderate success but whilst he’s been a regular starter under Marcelo Bielsa this season he has recently found himself outside the starting eleven and this has heightened speculation over a possible summer exit.
Marseille started the season in fine fashion but recent results have seen them fall away from the leading title chasers.
