The Anglo-Congolese forward has been in superb form for Wolves this season, enjoying a breakout campaign of sorts in the Championship.

The 22-year-old has scored 13 goals in 20 starts in the second tier, contributing five assists in the process.

While the Old Gold ultimately missed out on the playoffs due to goal difference, the campaign represents a successful season for Kenny Jackett’s side, who were only promoted from League One last year.

Afobe, who has represented England at U21 level, has been one of the side’s star performers, and may be rewarded with a £3million-switch to Tony Pulis’s side [via the Daily Mail].

The forward learned his trade at Arsenal, before moving to Wolves permanently earlier this year, following loans at the likes of Huddersfield Town, Reading and Bolton Wanderers.
