Paul Pogba update: Chelsea target being chased by many top clubs claims agent

The agent of Paul Pogba has revealed that his client is being chased by “all the big clubs” with the French midfielder set to spark a bidding war this summer, The Evening Standard reports.

Despite signing a new contract earlier on this campaign, Pogba is one of the most sought after players in Europe and given the delicate situation regarding the finances in Serie A, Juventus may be forced to accept a huge offer for the former Manchester United man.

According to the report, Chelsea remain the frontrunners for Pogba due to their reported attempts to potentially include Oscar in the deal as the west London club continue to abide by FFP.

“It’s a very delicate moment,” super agent Riola was quoted as saying.

“I prefer not to talk about Paul. I can only say that my client is liked by all the big and smart clubs.”

Defending a Premier League crown has become a difficult task over the past few years and hasn’t been done since 2009, which explains Chelsea’s eagerness to add world class talent to their squad.

However, Pogba is a player arguably capable of walking into any team in Europe which makes possible bids from Spanish giants Real Madrid rather inevitable.
