The Blues are already playing in the USA, Australia, and England before the next campaign, and are surely risking burnout by adding another nation to the tour. Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has already claimed that his side’s shorter pre-season schedule will give them an advantage next season on the Red Devils’ official website.

The London outfit will be playing in the 49,000 capacity Rajamangala stadium in Bangkok against the Thailand All Stars on May 30. The last time they went to the South East Asian nation was in 2013, which coincidentally was manager Jose Mourinho first game with the team in his second spell.

The Portuguese may now rue returning though, with the extra travel surely making it more difficult for them to keep the Premier League trophy at Stamford Bridge. They face a 21,251 mile round trip from London to Thailand, then to Australia and back to the capital before they even go to America later in the summer.
